Section 17
Provisions related to the officer providing the formal letter of nomination
: (1) The party shall appoint the official of the central executive committee of such party or similar committee to provide the formal letter of nomination of the candidate on its behalf.
(2) The name, surname, position and specimen of the signature of the office bearer as per sub-section (1) shall be verified by the office bearer of that committee designated by the central executive committee of such party or a similar committee and shall be provided to the commission within the period specified by the commission before the date of filing the nomination paper for the candidate.
(3) The commission should be able to send the details with the signature specimen as per sub-section (2) to the concerned election officer before the date fixed for registration of nomination paper.
(2) The name, surname, position and specimen of the signature of the office bearer as per sub-section (1) shall be verified by the office bearer of that committee designated by the central executive committee of such party or a similar committee and shall be provided to the commission within the period specified by the commission before the date of filing the nomination paper for the candidate.
(3) The commission should be able to send the details with the signature specimen as per sub-section (2) to the concerned election officer before the date fixed for registration of nomination paper.
